Privacy notice

This notice explains how Thane Health Care Hospital (“THC”, “we”), Brahmin Society, Naupada, Thane (W), Maharashtra 400602, handles personal data through this website. THC is the Data Fiduciary for that data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made under it. Medical records created during your treatment at the hospital are covered by the hospital’s separate patient privacy policy.

What we collect on this website

• Nothing you type is stored. This site has no forms or accounts. When you book, WhatsApp opens with a message you can edit before sending; we only receive it if you send it.
• Messages and calls. If you message us on WhatsApp or call, we receive your phone number, name and what you tell us, and use them only to arrange your appointment and care.
• Usage analytics. We use PostHog (EU servers) to count page views and clicks such as “Book appointment” or “Call”, with the page, speciality or doctor involved. We do not capture anything you type (search text included), and we do not create a personal profile.
• Session replays, only if you accept. With your consent, PostHog keeps an anonymous reconstruction of how pages were used (clicks, scrolling, page changes) so we can find and fix confusing pages. Typed text and searches are hidden, and replays are never linked to your name or number.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages securely.

Consent and cookies

Until you choose, analytics run in memory only and nothing is stored on your device. If you select Accept, we store an anonymous identifier in a cookie and in local storage so repeat visits are counted correctly. If you select Accept, session replays are also turned on. If you select Decline, nothing is stored, there are no replays, and we only count anonymous page views for that visit. We remember your choice on your device. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser; withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.

Why we use it

• To arrange appointments and respond to your messages (your consent and our legitimate uses under section 7 of the DPDP Act, including medical emergencies).
• To understand which pages help patients find care, so we can improve the site.

We never sell personal data and never use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers acting for us (Data Processors): our website host, PostHog for analytics and Meta’s WhatsApp for messages you choose to send. Each is bound by contract to use the data only for our purposes. Data may be processed outside India where permitted by the DPDP Act.

How long we keep it

Analytics events are kept for up to 12 months. Appointment messages are kept only as long as needed for your care and as required by law.

Your rights

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
• Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your data.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
• Have your grievance addressed, and, if unresolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children: if you are booking for a child, you confirm you are the parent or lawful guardian.
